Nikolaevsk-on-Amur (until 1926 - Nikolaevsk) - a city of regional subordination, center of the Nikolaev area of Khabarovsk territory of the Russian Federation. Founded in 1850 by the Russian Explorer Admiral Gennady I. Nevelskoy as a military and administrative settlement (the Nikolaev post). The postage stamp depicts the monument to Admiral Gennady Nevelskoy on the background.
