Sobibor is one of the main German Nazi camps located during the Second world war in Poland. The camp was the site of a mass uprising organized October 14, 1943 the prisoners Lieutenant Alexander Pechersky. The escape involved more than 400 prisoners, but only about 10 people were able to get to the Belarusian partisan units.
